Student email accounts have successfully moved to the new e-mail server. Student emails are now username@students.ussa.edu. The temporary password for all students is their entire student number (e.g., A0000004356). To access the new e-mail system, go to http://mail.students.ussa.edu.

Students will be able to transfer emails from old accounts to new accounts until the end of January. In addition to being able to transfer existing email to the new account, storage capacity has been increased from 4 Gigabytes to 6 Gigabytes.

1. Go to http://mail.students.ussa.edu and log into your new student account. If this is the first time logging into your account you will be asked to change your password and agree to the acceptable use policy for email.

2. In the upper right corner of the email interface, click on Settings.

3. Under Settings, click on the Accounts tab. In the center of the Accounts tab under the Get mail from other accounts section, click on Add another mail account.

4. A box should pop up allowing you to enter your old ussa.edu email address (e.g. username@ussa.edu). Click the Next Step > button. -- If you do not see this box, please check the pop-up blocker on your web browser and adjust the settings accordingly.

5. After clicking the Next Step > button, a new window will load. Enter your old ussa.edu email password; your username should already be filled in. Change the POP Server to mail2.ussa.edu and click the Add Account button.

6. If you entered the requested information successfully a new window will load alerting you that a new mail account has been added. Since your old email account is no longer valid, please click No when asked rather you want to send mail from this address. Click on the Finish button.

7. Your new account should start checking your old email account and migrating the messages over. If you had mail in other folders on your old email account, please move them to the main mailbox or they will not be migrated over.
